Orange International Street Fair

“Sweet on Summer” will be the theme for this year’s Orange International Street Fair. Taking place Labor Day Weekend, Friday August 30th through Sunday September 1st, the OISF will be held in Old Town Orange, CA where it has traditionally been held for 40 years. Inspired by the 1910 Orange Street Fair, it was decided in 1973 that the city of Orange would celebrate their centennial birthday by hosting the Orange International Street Fair. Now, since its proven success, the fair has become the city’s tradition for every Labor Day weekend. Each year, the OISF draws in about 500,000 people over the span of three days! This year’s festivities will begin at 5PM on the 30th.
This diversified event features 15 ethnic streets with 42 food and alcohol booths. All booths will be ran by local non-profits with proceeds directly benefiting the groups. More than 200 vendors will set up 15 themed areas based on the cultures of America, Australia, Denmark, England, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Polynesia, and Sweden.
Besides food and alcohol, the event will feature local artisans, organizations, and businesses. Local artist and their works will be presented in an Arts and Crafts section, a Community Booth section will display local non-profits and their causes, and a Commercial Section will feature local companies promoting their businesses. To continue the artistic air, Orange Street will be dedicated to crafts and games for children.
Live entertainment will feature local bands playing ethnic music. There will be 8 stages for live music with bands like Slipjacket, The Express Band, The Fabulous Nomads, The American Wake, and Last Chance among many more. Music will be playing all throughout the day so there will be many chances to get your groove on!
