With the opening of the much anticipated new Pixar film, Monsters University, Disneyland has decided to make this summer in Orange County a MONSTROUS one. Get ready to scare up some summer fun at Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure, and Downtown Disney District. Offering all of the traditional Orange County summer fun Disneyland is known for, they’ve also added a few new twists. Fantasy Faire at Disneyland (in Fantasyland OF COURSE) will be expanded to include a village where Disney’s storybook heroes and heroines will come to life! But Fantasy Faire is more than just a new village. It will also feature a Royal Hall full of beloved Disney characters and a Royal Theatre featuring two new shows based on Beauty and the Beast and Tangled.
Once you get your fill of fairy tale characters and creatures, you can make your way over to Disney’s California Adventure and Buena Vista Street, which has been re-imagined to truly capture the heat of a Southern California summer. Dining, shopping, and entertainment are the names of the games at California Adventure (and let’s not leave out the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror!). Lest we forget, the adventures of Cars Land, which opened last summer, also await visitors to the theme park. Radiator Springs Racers, Master’s Junkyard Jamboree, and Luigi’s Flying Tires are the three main attractions that have had this part of the park filled to maximum with Disney and Cars fans.
And in our summer in Orange County and Disneyland adventures, we could NEVER leave out the relaxation and downtime that comes from a visit to Downtown Disney. Shopping, food, music, and more food all in one compact, Disney-fied place!
