The best Mother’s Day gift is most definitely…….is the ability to go visit for a day or take mom(s) on a overnight vacation with us. With home diaylsis and health reasons, we can’t travel very far (3 hrs one way). Both Moms do not drive the mountains. We haven’t seen one mom since 2010 and she is getting up there in age and does not drive freeways..We saw one mom in 2011 when brother brought her. We have stayed at Ayres Hotel a couple of times because of dialysis treatment center was located nearby and the rooms are very very nice and relaxing in our stressful lives..

The BEST Mother’s Day Gift is sharing a comfy cozy morning giggling with 3 hilariously sweet little boys. We plan spending the day at Dodger Stadium this year because nothing thrills me more than enjoying motherhood by seeing the happy smiles on my little men’s faces. They are the delight and joy of my life and no Mother’s Day is complete without being blessed by who they are inside and out. Their smiles complete me each and every day. There is no greater gift than to celebrate the life we have together because I was blessed with each of their lives.

The best Mother’s Day gift is most definitely receiving a homemade gift from my kids. Whether it’s a card, perhaps a breakfast even with the most oddly used ingredients, perhaps something made out of clay that you think is one thing, but they say “Oh no Mommy, It’s a X”, it’s THOSE gifts that just melt my heart. I’m not all about jewelry, lavish purses, high end electronics bought by the husband and given to me with my kids name on it. It’s the handmade stuff that creates the best memories and really reminds me of what being a mom is all about.

    April 18, 2012
  36. MIke Says:

What I’ve learned (after many failed attempts at Mother’s Day planning) is to make sure she doesn’t have to cook, the family is all together and basically participate in what she likes to do WITHOUT COMPLAINING.

  42. David Warner Says:

The best Mother’s Day gift is most definitely the gift of time. First, the gift of spending time with your mother (and all of the mothers in your life). Second, doing tasks or chores that the mother normally would do, but doesn’t have to on this day / week / month–this way, the mother can spend some time just for herself. So many mothers give so much of themselves that they need and would love that time just for herself.

The best Mother’s Day gift is most definitely… enjoying some special time with my mother who has been an inspiration to me all through my life. Her strength, her leadership, her femininity, her poise and her grace are all qualities that I aspire to have and admire in her so much. With busy lifestyles we don’t get to spend enough time together, so Mother’s Day is an opportunity to enjoy each others company and celebrate a day that should be celebrated every day! Whatever fun activity we would do would be doing is fun because I’d be doing it with her. I love you mom!

I usually just take my mom out to dinner, but maybe I’ll take her to some of these places next time as a surprise! I’m sure she’ll love it.
