This Summer L.A’s most renowned, culturally diverse radio station is bringing its signature “play what you love” style to venues all over the City of Angels for the 5th anniversary of KCRW Summer Nights. From the world-famous Santa Monica Pier to, the urban sprawl of Downtown Los Angeles, Summer Nights has performances scheduled ranging from a variety of different musical artists from all over the world. Summer Nights is hosting outdoor, live events at famous venues all over the city. Craving a little culture? Head to the UCLA Campus every Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. to witness The Hammer Museum’s outdoor courtyard featuring new artists that are “quintessentially L.A for four incredible nights of music, which is all “Made in L.A.” This event includes live band performances, special guest DJs, late night museum hours, cash bars, a beer garden and much more. Attendees can also head on down to the California Plaza where the re will be weekly shows from Thursday to Saturday, where they can listen to L.A best DJ’s, hear riveting spoken word shows, or simply dance the night away.
Come on down to the heart of Century City for some country in the city! In addition to the concert series, KCRW and the join forces this summer for some one of a kind outdoor concerts to accompany the exhibition “Country: Portraits of An American Sound.” The show is free for all ages, but RSVP will be required.
If you’re looking for a cultural blend of food, fun, and great sounds, then head to “Chinatown’s Summer Nights,” located in the heart of one of L.A’s most unique neighborhoods. This event features live-cooking demonstrations, the Downtown Flea Craft and Vintage market, live musical acts, authentic Chinese restaurants, and an open-air dance floor in the shadow of Downtown Los Angeles.
