There is always something to do in Southern California, and this weekend is no exception. Tustin Tiller Days, held in (where else) Tustin, California, has been a regular event since 1957. Originally an event to celebrate the agricultural heritage of Orange County, Tustin Tiller Days has become a huge event, complete with carnival, parade, and entertainment. It’s also become a great venue for local non-profit organizations (shout out to Job’s Daughters!) to raise funds for the coming year. This year the event is being held from September 30th (today) – October 2nd and includes some wicked entertainment.
I am most looking forward to the Battle of the Bands, mostly because anything titled “Battle of the Bands” brings me back to the splendor that is Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey. What can I say? I’m a sucker for Keanu Reeves as a dimwitted surfer guy. Wait – isn’t that who he plays in all his movies? Ok. Tangent explored. Anyway, if you happen to be native to the SoCal area or visiting and staying at one of the fabulous Ayres Hotels of Southern California, check this one out. It is most definitely a good time, or, as Ted Theodore Logan would say, “EXCELLENT!”
